Healthy Dialogues are offering an interactive 1-day course for health professionals who wish to enhance their behaviour change interventions and support clients self-manage their long-term conditions.
Practitioners will explore a range of evidenced-based approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness and motivational interviewing.
Who is this course for?
This course is for professionals who wish to enhance their interactions with clients to support them to manage their long-term conditions and make behaviour changes for better health and wellbeing.
By the end of the course practitioners will:
- Understand long-term conditions, their impact on the healthcare economy and the evidence base for behaviour change approaches
- Explore their own knowledge, beliefs and understanding of behaviour change and aspects of their current practice that work well
- Know the value of working collaboratively with their clients
- Gain skills and tools to support behaviour change and its maintenance.
This training is delivered using trainer demonstrations, videos and simulation learning with actors.
